Next CMPG meeting Wednesday, see CMPG email for date, at 5:00pm, Creature Comforts Pearl St.
The Choral Music Parent Group (CMPG) is a group of parents who assist Ms. Carmichael in making the Boulder High Choir program an amazing experience for BHS students. Our three choral ensembles - Concert Choir, Aria, and High Altitude - become better the more that parents are involved!
Each choral music family is asked to contribute each year, any amount is appreciated. Donations are crucial to the success of the program and is similar to the fees families pay to participate in sports or other extracurricular activities. Your contributions benefit the program as follows:
Support workshops and concerts;
Purchase music and concert uniforms;
Maintain and fund new equipment (pianos, speaker, mics, etc...);
Cover travel, music competitions and festivals;
And much more!
To make your annual contribution, use the PayPal button on the home page (preferred) or contact the CMPG Board of Directors.
Parents are the volunteers who make choir events happen! Concerts and trips require parent help to make them happen. Here are specific things you can do to help:
Sell tickets at choir concerts;
Sell food and drinks at choir concerts;
Volunteer to chaperone choir trips;
Help efforts to outreach to choir programs at feeder middle schools;
And much more!
Keep an eye on emails for upcoming opportunities!
Photos of the choir programs serve several important purposes:
Communicate our amazing program to prospective students;
Provide a window into the program for far-away family and friends.
Please email photos you're willing to share to the CMPG webmaster.
CMPG needs more parents in our leadership circle! You can get involved in the following:
Influence the direction of the choir program by joining periodic meetings with Ms. Carmichael;
Help coordinate volunteering opportunities;
Become a CMPG officer (President, Secretary, Treasurer, Webmaster).
